Course Description

Learn from lawyers about legal issues affecting you!

Course Description: This program consists of 16 class sessions. Each session will be conducted by a South Carolina attorney.

Topics include: overview of state courts, alternative dispute resolution, juvenile justice and child protection, family law, real estate/landlord tenant law, wills, estates and probate, health care and elder law, SC workers’ compensation law, employment law, bankruptcy law, consumer law & debt collection, education, immigration, criminal law, and torts.

Participants are not required to attend every session, but must register in person at AMTTC located at 853 Broad Street in Sumter. A list of speakers and topics will be provided prior to the course start date.

Course Delivery: This class meets every Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. starting August 5th and ending on September 30.

Cost: $89 per person and includes course materials. Participants will be provided the course materials in the designated classroom on the first night of class at CCTC’s AMTTC (853 Broad St., Sumter).
